Port Angeles is located in Clallam county on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. Sandwiched between the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the north and the Olympic Mountains to the south Port Angeles offers a large range of recreational activities for visitors of all ages and energy levels.

Winner or the "American City Award" in 1954 Port Angeles is now generating a reputation as the "City of Flowers". In the spring and summer each year large numbers of planter boxes and hanging baskets can be seen throughout the city, especially along the waterfront.  Port Angeles is the "Gateway" to the Olympic National Park as well as a major port for traffic to Vancouver Island.

Timber is still important to the local economy but the communities survival is no longer tied to it.  The wealth of recreation opportunities, incredible scenery, central location and mild climate have made Port Angeles a popular base for those wishing to explore the wonders and opportunities of the Olympic Peninsula.
