It is located where travelers from these communities turn either north or south onto the freeway or fly from its airport. Tourists from British Columbia or Seattle or California turn at Burlington to reach snow and fir-covered mountains to the east and islands to the west. At the crossroads of Interstate 5 and the North Cascades Highway, we're an ideal regional distribution center, served by both asphalt and rail.

Burlington is 20 miles from the Anacortes ferry terminal (to the San Juan Islands and Victoria, B.C.), 14 miles from the town of La Conner, 55 miles from the Keystone Ferry to the Olympic Peninsula, 85 miles south of Vancouver, B.C., and 65 miles north of Seattle. We're at the center of it all.

But it's the people who really make Burlington special. Businesses relocating here find a unique support system in city government, as department heads work with developers to iron out potential problems before they arise. Business and community leaders still meet for coffee at various restaurants and brainstorm better ways of serving their customers.
